As shown in Figure 2, similar to what we had observed in FD patients [23], we observed 30–60% reduction in expression of mRNAs encoding the myelin components proteolipid protein 1 (PLP1) and Myelin Associated Glycoprotein (MAG), myelin and lymphocyte protein (MAL), the late-stage oligodendrocyte-specific transcription factor GTX and cytoskeletal protein Ermin, as well as PPP1R14A, TTYH2, EDG2, APOD, Transferrin (TF), and TMEM10 whose expression is considerably induced in differentiating oligodendrocytes [31], [32]. This evidence concerns the gene TTYH2 and Fabry disease.
