In the current study, we noted that there was a significant increase in PBMC counts (Figure 1), the number of immune cells such as CD4+, CD8+, NK and B cells in PBMC (Figure 2), and the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IFN-γ, IL-17 and RANTES (Figure 4) in PTSD patients. This evidence concerns the gene IL17A and post-traumatic stress disorder.
