In this study, we found that FGFR2 could be pulled down by both VVA and PNA lectins and removal of sialic acids enhanced their binding to FGFR2, suggesting that FGFR2 carries short O-glycans, such as Tn, sialyl Tn, T, and sialyl T antigens in colon cancer cells. This evidence concerns the gene FGFR2 and colonic neoplasm.
