CYBB and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease: Our findings show, for the first time, an increased systemic oxidative stress in subjects with NAFLD, as assessed by increased levels of urinary 8-iso-PGF2α, currently regarded as the best measure of oxidative stress in vivo and of serum sNOX2-dp, a marker of NOX2 activation by blood cells, which plays an important role in ROS production [21-23].
