In Caucasian population, MUC1 rs4072037 polymorphism was significantly associated with an decreased cancer risk in all genetic models except for homozygous genetic model and recessive model (G vs A: OR = 0.76, 95%CI: 0.64–0.90, p<0.01; GA vs AA: OR = 0.61, 95%CI:0.46–0.80, p<0.01; AG+AA vs GG: OR = 0.58, 95%CI: 0.44–0.75, p<0.01). Here, MUC1 is linked to cancer.
