Variables that presented a significant association with the diagnosis of pulmonary TB in the univariate analysis were: - biological: male, - habits and lifestyle: abstainer, - clinical: coughing, weight loss, presence of sputum with or without blood, weight loss, fever, sweating, asthenia, BMI <18.5 kg/m2, lymphadenopathy; - related to diagnostic methods for TB: typical, atypical or scar pattern chest X-ray, reactive TT; - HIV-related: the absence of ART, CD4 count <200 cells/mm3. This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and tuberculosis.
