A meta-analysis reported that GATA3 was one of the most significant genes exhibiting low expression in invasive carcinomas of the breast with poor clinical outcome, whereas low GATA3 expression was associated with a higher histological grade, positive nodes, larger tumor size, negative ER and progesterone receptor and HER2-neu overexpression (15). The gene discussed is ERBB2; the disease is invasive breast carcinoma.
