Lysosome-associated protein transmembrane-4 beta (LAPTM4B) is a novel cancer-related gene that was cloned from hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) tissues using fluorescence differential display, rapid amplification of cDNA ends (RACE), and reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT–PCR)[2,3]. Here, LAPTM4B is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
