A reduction in endogenous IL‐10 production has been recently linked to the development of angiotensin II (ANG II)‐induced hypertension and inflammation in mice which can be partially attenuated by replacement of T‐regulatory (Treg) cells, a common source of IL‐10 production (Kassan et al. 2011; Matrougui et al. 2011).
