We found that peripheral blood monocyte count was independently associated with coronary vasospasm in patients with stage 1–3 CKD and that hs-CRP level was independently associated with coronary vasospasm only in patients with stage 1 CKD, although serum levels of hs-CRP were similar between patients with stage 1 CKD and patients with stage 2 disease and were significantly higher in patients with stage 3 disease. Here, CRP is linked to chronic kidney disease.
