What was previously reported was confirmed; that is, apoptosis related proteins BaX and BaK were upregulated, whereas apoptosis inhibiting protein Bcl-xL was downregulated after reexpression of let-7g precursor for 72 hours (Figure 6(e)), suggesting that it is through upregulating the Bax and BaK and downregulating Bcl-xL that let-7g induced apoptosis of HCC cell lines, MHCC97-H and HCCLM3. The gene discussed is BCL2L1; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
