The data on TP53 mutation alone as a prognostic factor for survival in DLBCL have been inconsistent, however, a number of studies have shown that dual disruption of the p16/Rb and the ARF/p53 pathway, e.g. deletion of the INK4A/ARF locus, are strong negative prognostic factors for survival [3–6]. This evidence concerns the gene CDKN2A and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
