Thus, we examined the components of the p53-miR34 axis including TP53 mutational status and hypermethylation of the MIR34A and MIR34B/C promoters in a panel of 150 newly diagnosed DLBCL and in 6 DLBCL cell lines, and compared these data to those obtained from PBL-B and reactive lymph nodes. The gene discussed is TP53; the disease is diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
