MTOR and hepatocellular carcinoma: Thus, overall, our experimental findings clearly indicate that the anti-cancer effects of γ-tocotrienol in HCC are mediated through the mitigation of AKT/mTOR signaling cascade and thus provide a strong rationale for pursuing the use of γ-tocotrienol in the treatment of HCC and other malignancies where angiogenesis is the key contributor to disease progression.
