In our study, there were no complications related to phacoemulsification surgery secondary to multiple previous intravitreal anti-VEGF injections, such as zonular dehiscence, rupture of the posterior capsule, rhegmatogenous retinal detachment, impaired wound healing, wound dehiscence and leakage, corneal edema, or endophthalmitis. The gene discussed is VEGFA; the disease is retinal detachment.
