After adjusting for age and gender subjects in the highest tertile of leptin, PAI-1and hsCRP had higher odds of having MetS (OR = 3.02, 95% CI = 1.47 – 6.19) (P-trend = 0.0029), (OR = 2.52, 95% CI = 1.45 – 4.35) (P-trend = 0.0037) (OR = 4.26, 95% CI = 2.39 – 7.59) (P-trend < 0.0001) respectively. Here, LEP is linked to metabolic syndrome.
