In a recent study focused on identifying angiogenesis-related microRNAs (miRs) altered in NSCLC, one miR (miR-155) was found to be significantly correlated with FGF2 in the overall cohort (r = 0.17; P = 0.002), but even more strongly in the subset with nodal disease (r = 0.34; P < 0.001) 36. Here, FGF2 is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
