The genotypic combinations of NF-κB1 and NF-κB2 polymorphism have been shown to be associated with the development of common inflammatory diseases including ulcerative colitis (UC), Crohn's disease, and Type I diabetes, as well as susceptibility of several cancers, such as oral squamous cell carcinoma and colorectal cancer [26]. Here, NFKB2 is linked to ulcerative colitis.
