The relative expression of FGF2 and NUDT6 vary dynamically and reciprocally through the cell cycle [14,17], and disruption of the relative expression of FGF2 and its antisense transcript has been associated with increased tumor progression in esophageal adenocarcinoma [15,16] and pituitary adenomas [5] and increased invasiveness of endometrial tissue in patients with endometriosis [18]. The gene discussed is FGF2; the disease is pituitary gland adenoma.
