It has been reported that a key role of miR-29a and miR-142-3p in myeloid differentiation and AML involves regulation of three target genes Cyclin T2 (CCNT2), cyclin-dependent kinase 6 (CDK6), and TGF-β activated kinase 1/MAP3 K7 binding protein 2 (TAB2). The gene discussed is CDK6; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
