CD44 and colonic neoplasm: Using immunohistochemistry, we found that CD44 (95%, Figure 4(a)) and CD24 (91%, Figure 4(c)) were expressed abundantly in human colon cancer glandular tissues, whereas CD44 (35%, Figure 4(b)) and CD24 (20%, Figure 4(d)) were undetected or weakly detectable in human adjacent noncancerous colon glandular tissues.
