Two studies [32, 33] demonstrate that this drug seems to improve progression-free survival in patients with GC (median 71 versus 44 days; P = 0.03) and that it seems to improve the survival in gastrointestinal EpCAM+ tumours (EpCAM: antiepithelial cell adhesion molecule) in intraperitoneal use. This evidence concerns the gene EPCAM and gastric cancer.
