Interestingly (and potentially relevant for RA), STK10 is involved in the regulation of cytoskeletal rearrangement through phosphorylation of the ezrin–radixin–moesin proteins [125], a process also strongly emphasized by a previous report [96] and by a relatively low expression of the respective genes in the gene enrichment analysis in the ‘CG’ group (see Additional file 9; sheet ‘CG low BP’).
