Constitutive activation of NF-κB pathway in prostate, lung, liver and breast cancers (Gasparian et al. 2002; Chiao et al. 2002; Biswas et al. 2004), correlates with the expression of several genes involved in immune and inflammatory responses, neoangiogenesis, increased cell proliferation, epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and in acquired resistance to apoptosis (Huber et al. 2004; Pikarsky et al. 2004; Julien et al. 2007; Pickering et al. 2007; Hafeez et al. 2008). Here, NFKB1 is linked to breast carcinoma.
