Taken together, these results strongly suggest that interactions of tumor-associated TF-Ag with endothelial Gal-3 mobilize endothelial α3β1 integrin, which associates physically with Gal-3 scaffolds and induces the formation of focal adhesion type macromolecular signaling complexes at the endothelial cell membrane. The gene discussed is RENBP; the disease is neoplasm.
