In addition to the higher tumorigenicity and metastasis as evident in studies of limited dilution, serial xenotransplantation and intravenous injection of the cells in NOD/SCID Il2rγ-/− recipient mice, we also demonstrated that CD61 status is a prognostic factor for predicting the overall survival of the lung cancer patients as well as the patients with breast cancer or ovarian cancer. This evidence concerns the gene IL2RG and ovarian carcinoma.
