The release of proinflammatory adipocyte mediators induced by Hsp60 and the intracellular signaling pathways engaged in this process were further analyzed by focusing on the formation of KC, IL-6, and MCP-1 which had been identified as prominent factors released by adipocytes and are supposed to contribute to obesity-associated inflammatory processes [53–55]. The gene discussed is CCL2; the disease is obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
