In urothelial carcinoma cases, MUC1 staining varied from no reactivity (N = 38 or 12%), focal reactivity (N = 12 or 4%, mean H-score 0.057±0.01) to moderate (N = 147 or 46%, mean H-score 1.02±0.05) and intense immunoreactivity (N = 117 or 37%, mean H-score of 2.86±0.02) (Fig. 1E and 1 F). The gene discussed is MUC1; the disease is urothelial carcinoma.
