MiR-182 identified as transcriptional target of beta-catenin interacts and suppresses the expression of the MMP- inhibitor reversion-inducing cysteine-rich protein with kazal motif (RECK) in breast cancer cell lines, and as a result of this inhibition, the activity of MMP-9 and consequently cell invasion and colony formation were affected. Here, RECK is linked to breast carcinoma.
