Of particular interest, a set of glycolytic enzymes, including HK1, GPI, ALDOC, TPI, GAPDH, PGK1, PGM1, ENO1, and PKM2, were present in the secretory/releasing protein database, consistent with our previous findings [13, 14], implying the upregulation of glycolysis as an adaptation to the tumor microenvironment. The gene discussed is PGK1; the disease is neoplasm.
