Tissue microarray analysis by immunohistochemical staining showed that JMJD6 protein was mainly detected in the nuclei of cancer cells, and that its expression is up-regulated in all of the nine types of carcinomas, with higher levels in lung squamous carcinomas, lung adenocarcinomas, breast ductal carcinomas, and rectal adenocarcinomas, and the highest level in colon adenocarcinomas (Figure 7A and Figure S9). The gene discussed is JMJD6; the disease is cancer.
