More recently, Henmi et al. [72] confirmed that hyper function of P-gp on CD4+ T cells of 12 SLE patients correlated with a poor clinical response to CCS and Zhang et al. [73] corroborated the correlation between high P-gp expression in the peripheral blood lymphocytes and increased severity of SLE disease. This evidence concerns the gene PGP and systemic lupus erythematosus.
