Carcinomatous meningitis, which attracts increasing attention as a recurrence site in patients who received treatment with epidermal growth factor receptor-tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKIs) (2–8), is a devastating event occurring in lung cancer patients (9–10) for which currently available treatment options are limited and the prognosis remains poor (1,9–10).
