Carcinomatous meningitis, which attracts increasing attention as a recurrence site in patients who received treatment with epidermal growth factor receptor-tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKIs) (2–8), is a devastating event occurring in lung cancer patients (9–10) for which currently available treatment options are limited and the prognosis remains poor (1,9–10). This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and lung cancer.
