The results of our study support this hypothesis; the one way ANOVA of our study indicates that HOMA-IR, 5-times insulin level in OGTT, and glucose level in the group of women with PCOS and NAFLD was significantly higher than in women with PCOS who did not have NAFLD, whereas the QUICKI in the group of women with PCOS and NAFLD was significantly lower than that in women with PCOS who did not have NAFLD. The gene discussed is INS; the disease is polycystic ovary syndrome.
