Staining for RRM2 was stronger in the older patients [>50 years; p = 0.004, odds ratio (OR): 4.97], those with advanced stage disease (≥stage II; p = 0027; OR: 4.01), deep stromal invasion (p<0.001; OR: 12.46), large tumors (p = 0.001; OR: >2.62), moderate or poor cell differentiation (p<0.001; OR: 15.98), parametrial invasion (p = 0.022; OR: 7.97), and it tended to be stronger in the patients with lymph node metastasis (p = 0.066; OR: 6.10) (Table 1). This evidence concerns the gene RRM2 and metastatic malignant neoplasm in the lymph nodes.
