Nevertheless, we discerned that serum IL-37 levels were significantly higher in patients with renal disease compared with those without these manifestations (P = 0.033, Figure 4), furthermore the patients without renal disease did not show significant higher serum IL-37 level than healthy controls (Figure 4), illustrating that IL-37 probably related with renal disorder in SLE. Here, IL37 is linked to systemic lupus erythematosus.
