Taking into account the high frequency of the TP53 p.R337H mutation in Brazilian women with breast cancer [17,18,20,30], and given that the TP53 p.R337H genetic test (single nucleotide change at codon 337) is easy, fast and inexpensive, we suggest that the TP53 p.R337H mutation screening should not be restricted to early breast cancer patients, but to all Brazilian breast cancer patients with a family history that includes other LFS/LFL tumors. Here, TP53 is linked to breast carcinoma.
