As ERK8 was previously found to be highly expressed in the lung (Abe et al., 2002), we set out to explore the link between ERK8 and Tn levels in lung cancer with 23 lung biopsies containing 2 normal lung tissues, 14 squamous cell carcinomas, 6 adenocarcinomas and 1 small cell carcinoma. The gene discussed is MAPK15; the disease is lung cancer.
