There was no difference in the intensity of expression of either CYP26A1 or CYP26B1 between Dukes C colorectal cancer and their corresponding lymph node metastasis whereas for LRAT there was a significant decrease in immunoreactivity in the lymph node metastasis compared with the corresponding primary tumours (p<0.001) (figure 3 and table 2). This evidence concerns the gene CYP26A1 and colorectal cancer.
