Following the previous promising results of in vitro studies, we were determined to perform an advanced study of in vitro cytotoxicity on an extended panel of human cancer cell lines (A549, HeLa, G-361, A2780 and cisplatin-resistant A2780R), together with the in vivo and ex vivo studies on L1210 lymphocytic leukaemia model complemented by the histological and immunohistochemical investigation on the cancerous tissues and studies of expression of caspases 3 and 8, p53 and VEGF-A, i.e. the proteins associated with the tumour growth progression and induction of apoptosis. Here, VEGFA is linked to neoplasm.
