SOX2 and Parkinson disease: The results revealed statistically significantly greater numbers of Sox2-positive cells (70.87±3.33 normal vs 124.85±5.79 DBS; P = 0.024; Figure 2a, b, g) and δ-GFAP-positive cells (19.63±2.37 normal vs 29.13±1.68 DBS; P = 0.040; Figure 2c, d, f) in PD-DBS brain tissue samples compared with normal brain tissue samples, specifically in the 3rd ventricle.
