While immunocytochemical staining of 786-O cells did indicate co-localization of ERp46 and AdipoR1, the co-immunoprecipitation approach using native human ccRCC 786-O cells, on the other hand, was inconclusive and the BACTH assay using the N-termini of both ERp46 and AdipoR1 fragments in the parallel or anti-parallel orientation showed no interaction signal. This evidence concerns the gene ADIPOR1 and nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma.
