Furthermore, YAP1 is now widely recognized as one of the oncogenic drivers of 11q22 amplification in liver cancer [20,21] and in many other cancer forms such as ovarian, lung and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, overexpression of YAP1 is correlated to a worse outcome [22-24]. Here, YAP1 is linked to esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
