The retrotransposition from TTC28 to GABRA4 (Figure 1) was confirmed by Sanger sequencing and found to be present in 4/92 (4.3%) WGS sequences from CRC patients, in 3/90 (3.3%) additional CRC patients not used for WGS and in 9/90 (10%) anonymous Finnish blood donors, indicating that the aberration is a common polymorphism in Finns. Here, GABRA4 is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
