As ADAM10 is a major sheddase of Notch receptors [8,9], and because researchers in recent studies have discovered that Notch signaling was activated in human osteosarcoma and may play a role in tumor invasion and metastasis [11,18,19], we speculate that ADAM10 might participate in osteosarcoma progression through the shedding of Notch receptors and activation of the Notch signaling pathway.
