Survivin’s over-expression at the mRNA and proteins levels appears to correspond with higher malignant grades and reduced survival rates in different cancers such as hepatocellular carcinoma [84], esophageal cancer [85], glioblastoma [86], lung cancer [87], B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and breast cancer [88,89] patients.
