We observed a significantly higher level of A2-restricted human CD8+ T-cell responses against the HIV antigen (Figure 6A) as well as the human malaria antigen (Figure 6B) in HSC transplanted NSG mice transduced with both AAV9-A2 and AAV9-hucytokines than in NSG mice receiving AAV9-A2 or in A2-Tg NSG mice, based on ELISpot assays. The gene discussed is CD8A; the disease is malaria.
