Cui et al. analyzed cell growth and apoptosis in cervical cancer cells by MTT assay and flow cytometry and showed that overexpression of miR-125b inhibited cell growth, induced apoptosis, and decreased tumorigenicity by suppression of the phosphoinositide 3-kinase catalytic subunit delta (PIK3CD) through targeting of the PI3 K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway [30]. Here, MTOR is linked to cervical cancer.
