Network analysis indicated that signaling pathways with the highest statistical significance amongst the three breast cancer lines responding to hyperthermia (but not in the MCF10A line) included genes involved in Ras and Rab5A G-protein regulation (GAPVD1, RASA1, RABEP1, CALM1, GMFB, PTPN11) (Figure 2E, Table 2) and survival/apoptosis (MAP2K4, BIRC2) (Figure 2B, Table 2). Here, MAP2K4 is linked to breast cancer.
