Overall, the ability of TQ to inhibit cell proliferation, migration, invasion and potentiate the apoptotic effects of bortezomib while suppressing NF-κB activation and its regulated gene products, provides a sound rationale to test this agent to enhance treatment efficacy, reduce toxicity, and overcome chemoresistance of relapsed or refractory MM. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and Miyoshi myopathy.
