Given the limited available data on the pathophysiological role of nestin in NSCLC cells [21], [26], we have not only confirmed that the expression of nestin in NSCLC samples appeared to correlate with clinical measures of tumor malignancy, but also examined the association of nestin expression with proliferative properties of lung cancer cells and its functional role in tumor cell proliferation in the current study. This evidence concerns the gene NES and lung carcinoma.
